Principal

 

Audrey Moon  RBS ttc - ARAD - AISTD Cecchetti -  AISTD National - AISTD Modern Dip.

 

Audrey started dancing at the age of five at The Stenhouse School of Dance in her home town of Linlithgow. At eight she was a junior associate with Scottish Ballet and at twelve accepted a place for vocational training at the Dance School of Scotland. After five years of intense training she successfully auditioned for The Royal Ballet School where she completed the prestigious three year teacher training course which is renowned throughout the world.

During her time there she was fortunate to be taught by some of the

best teachers in the world and studied R.A.D Ballet, I.S.T.D National, Cecchetti Ballet, Character, Solos, Repetoire, Contemporary, Classical Spanish, Music and Benesh Notation.

Since graduating Audrey taught in Malta then returned to the UK to teach in Bath and surrounding areas. Originally she came to Wentworth Dance to cover a year maternity post but enjoyed herself so much she stayed and took over becoming Principal in 2000.

Audrey is a highly qualified teacher who enjoys teaching the very young through to the senior pupils and adult classes. As well as preparing the pupils for their R.A.D and I.S.T.D exams and Performances she most enjoys passing on her love of dance to the wonderful range of students she sees each week.

Di James

 

Di started Ballet lessons as a child  in the north of England, then with

the Pat Steel School  in Maidenhead, moving onto senior Ballet at the

La Roche School Maidenhead. She was also involved in Musical Shows in High Wycombe. Took time out to work for B.O.A.C ( British Airways) as an Air Stewardess, appearing as Cinderella in their first ever Pantomime. Moved to Virginia Water after marrying and having two sons where she took on a small Ballet School and renamed it The Wentworth Dance Centre, moving into the Church Hall for many successful years. Di expanded the School with new teachers to include Tap, Modern,

Jazz and Drama classes. With her 2nd husband Nick, who she met in Pantomime, they produced 6 Semi Professional Pantomimes in Staines using the dancers from the Dance Centre.

They also performed in Victorian Music Hall at the Players Theatre in London. Now running a successful small company doing Music Hall and Songs from the Shows, but also keeping up her love of teaching children by taking the under fives Ballet classes.

Hannah Spooner    BA(Hons) Ballet Education RAD RTS LRAD ARAD

 

Hannah started dancing at the age of three at Wentworth Dance Centre

to complete her graded and vocational RAD ballet examinations. Continuing her training Hannah was offered a place at the Royal Academy of Dance to study for a degree in Ballet Education where she then received registered teacher status graduating in 2011.

Upon graduating, Hannah has been working as a freelance ballet teacher around the Surrey and Berkshire area.

Cerrianne Harrison

 

Cerrianne began her dance training at Wentworth Dance Centre at the

age of 4. She continued her training at Wentworth Dance Centre whilst gaining her A-Level in Dance at Brooklands College, Weybridge, before going on to study Dance at The University of Roehampton, London.

During her work experience, Cerrianne was fortunate enough to gain experience under Audrey’s guidance at Wentworth Dance Centre. Cerrianne then registered with and attended Italia Conti Arts Centre, Guildford, in order to gain her DDI and DDE Teaching qualifications. She is now registered with the Imperial Society of Teacher of Dancing (I.S.T.D) and in recent years, worked as a freelance Street Dance teacher.  Cerrianne is delighted to be teaching dance classes where her dancing life began.

James Palmer

 

James has been lucky enough to have trained at and sung in many

well-known venues, ranging from Winchester Cathedral (where he was recorded for BBC Radio 4) to RADA; as well as having the privilege of working in the West End for eighteen months.  From a very early age, James showed both a talent and interest in all aspects of the Performing Arts. Over the last two decades he has built up a wealth of experience both on and off stage, scholastically and extra-curricularly. James is well known theatrically within the local community, having worked with many of the local societies and choirs. This  passion and enthusiasm led him to study Drama and Education at The University of  Winchester.
